Background

I began in practice in 2011. I have over 13 years’ experience in working for the NHS. I am a senior counsellor in an Occupational Health dept counselling NHS staff. 

I work as an associate creative therapist for a large organisation in the Northwest as part of an emotional trauma support team working with adoption families and vulnerable children who may be placed within the care system or in specialist school provisions.

A large part of this client base presents as neurodivergent. I have additional experience counselling school staff within specialist school provisions and run a busy private practice offering counselling for adults, children and young people and clinical supervision.

Qualifications

  • Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Clinical supervision, (IDM) Integrative developmental model (including online and phone working).
  • Dyadic developmental psychotherapy Level 1 and 2 (Based on attachment and developmental trauma to support children and families with relationships)
  • Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling (in conjunction with Barnardo’s & Albany centre)
  • BA (hons) Early Years (University of Chester, 2:1)
  • Advanced Diploma in Counselling,
  • Certificate in Counselling Children and young People (Temenos)
  • Certificate in online/telephone counselling (80 hours mapped to BACP competencies)
  • Certificate in therapeutic counselling
